The first time I tried bulgogi, I thought it was so flavorful that it must have been marinated for hours. But I have since learned that the ingredients are so simple, and because the dish uses thinly sliced steak, it does not need to be marinated for hours. Here is my variation that I make that always come out perfect!
14 oz shaved steak
2 Carrots
1 yellow Onions sliced
5 Green onions sliced
4 tbsp soy sauce sliced
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp sesame seeds oil
3 garlic cloves
Sesame seeds for garnish
Marinate meat in soy sauce, sugar, garlic and sesame seed oil. You can make this a day before or first thing before cutting your veggies.
Cut all your vegetables.
In a pan with oil, cook meat until liquid evaporates.
Remove the meat and add the vegetables in the same pan for a couple minutes until tender.
Add the meat back to make sure everything is mixed.
Serve on-top of rice and sprinkle sesame seeds for garnish.
Enjoy ♥️
