A delicious and simple dessert.
1 lb strawberries sliced or chopped
1/4 cup agave
1 tbsp rose water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 lemon juice and lemon zest
1 tbsp Cornstarch
1 Puff pastry sheet
Coarse sugar to top crust
Vanilla ice cream
Egg wash (1 egg and 1 tbsp water on puff pastry before going in oven)
Slice strawberries and coat with cornstarch.
Add agave, vanilla and rose water.
Lay out puff pastry on a sheet pan and layer strawberry mixture in center.
Food in the sides puff pastry leaving the middle exposed.
Brush puff pastry with egg wash.
Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
Allow to cool and serve with vanilla ice cream.
